Posting in social media groups is an easy and free way to target your posts. Pinterest,Google+ and LinkedIn are the largest social networks that allow you business to post to groups. Though Facebook does feature groups they only allow profiles to interact within the group.
To pin to a group board you must firstly be invited to the board by someone that’s already in the group or create your own board. You can either ask someone from the group to invite you or can pin images that are match the board and wait to be invited.
You can see all of your group invitations in the left column on the home page:
When you accept an invitation to a group board the board will now appear on your boards page. The group board will display a small outline of people next to the name of the board.
To pin/re-pin to a group board find an image you like then click the pin it button and then scroll through your boards until you find the name of the group board.
On Google+ groups are called communities, you can find a community simply by searching for any word then changing the menu from everything to communities like my example below where I searched for cars:
To join a Google+ community click on a community you wish to join. Google+ arranges the communities in decreasing order. To join click the big orange join button when viewing the community you can leave at any time if you wish.
Posting is pretty simple just go to your communities and find the one you’ve just joined and share away, remember to read the community guidelines before posting as you can get blocked.
Posting in communities doesn’t restrict your followers from seeing your awesome posts.
The home of B2B where your business connects and networks with other industry leaders. Like communities LinkedIn groups allows you to share the things you like but that’s where the similarities stop. LinkedIn allows you to create discussions about topic, share polls,jobs businesses have posted in the group and see the top influences in the group.
If you’re already logged into LinkedIn use the search box at the top the page and change searching for people to groups by clicking on the outline of two people to the left of the search box. You’ll come to a page that now displays lots of groups about the topic you’ve just searched for. To join a group just click any group that takes your fancy and you’ll be taken to the group page where you can see posts from others. Click the blue join group button to join.
Now you’re a member you can start sharing your business knowledge, conduct polls and network with others.
Some groups will preview your first status update to make sure you aren’t posting of topic.
Example below shows a post I just shared through a group;
When marketing on these social media networks remember to post within specific groups as it’s more targeted which enable you to receive more interactions,website hits and sales.
I would recommend posting 60/40 with 60 percent posting out of groups this way you aren’t relying on the groups and people can check out your posts about other things.
Here some groups I’m a member of that you may want to join, drop your Pinterest username and the board you wish to join in the comments box below and I’ll invite you in.
